I hope the X-men franchise does at least one of these things
\* while I understand cyclops/jean will be the face of the mutant saga and I like that, I actually hope that every movie centers a different character of the team. Similar how Gunn did it with GOTG, with the first mainly centering gamora, the second on starlord, and the third on rocket. Even tho starlord is the leader and face of the GOTG, the trilogy still manage to shine light on different characters. Like for X-men, cyclop/jean can still be the face of the overarching saga while one film’s plot can center on nightcrawler, and another one on rogue, and one on iceman, etc. u get the gist. So I’m not saying these characters are the main character of the film, but the plot either centers around their origin or their theme while cyclop/jean are still the face.
\* while having the main core group, introduce different lesser known X-men side-members in separate movies. Similar with how some justice league have some stories with Martian Manhunter in one mission, then Shazam in the other, then hawkman in the other. I’d want similar for the X-men where they can shine a light on lesser known X-men members. Examples are like longshot, firestar, cannonball. Like in each movie, they’re introduce as a new member in the team but on the side, like they won’t need to have backstory, they’re just new here and they have dope chemistry with the team and that’s it. The next movie does the same for a different character and so on.
\* keep the suits the same for most part. I get they’ll need to sell toys but it’s been too long we’re finally getting comic accurate suits, I don’t need them experimenting and trying new things out with the suits every movie. I don’t mind if they make light changes every movie but not drastic ones (similar to Steve rogers suit from ultron to CW for example)
