This is a psychological horror film based on Stephen King's novel. The story follows a group of people trapped inside a supermarket
when a mysterious thick MIST rolls into town.
A fear takes hold, the real danger become not just the creatures outside but also the people inside.
The Shocking Twist Ending
After several horrifying encounters, the main character, David Drayton escapes the supermarket with his young son and a few survivors. They drive through the MIST witnessing devastation everywhere. When their car runs out of gas and all hopes seem lost, they decide to take their fates into their own hands. David tragically shoots everyone in the car - including his own son-to spare them from a worst fate.
Just moments later as David steps out into the MUST, ready to face death himself, the military appears clearing the MIST and killing the creatures. If he had just waited just a little longer they all would have survived.
The gut-wrenching irony of the ending makes it one of the most shocking and heartbreaking twists in horror movie history.
This ending leaves viewers stunned, questioning fate, hope and human desperation.
