The great island of #Madagascar
is home to the #Malagasy people
whose heritage is both from Africa and Asia.
Not only does this video explain the African and Asian origins
of the people but it looks into scientific data
about genetics of the peoples
which show that the people of Madagascar
also have DNA in common with the peoples of Polynesia.
Showing that the non-African side of their heritage
is perhaps more complicated than what was previously thought.
