Finally found my white whale!
I've been trying to find a Sam Adams utopias for about 10 years on and off. Living in northeast Pennsylvania, no distributors around me ever had it. So I found a total wine that had a 2025 in stock in Florida close to where my sister lives, got it flown home, and opened it tonight. I had huge expectations and it met them and more.
I cracked it with around a 4oz pour with my wife and it starts like a bourbon barrel aged beer, reminding me of a goose island bourbon county. Then it finishes with the burn of whiskey. More sips mellows everything, and it's just such a fun experience.
