Moonscape - The most expensive patina finish I have ever developed on steel.
I call it moonscape because when you look closely at it the texture reminds me of the surface of the moon.
This was a close collaboration with the design team on a very expensive stair. The process is detailed a bit more in the original post with respect to the caustic agents and textures created, this extremely labor intensive finish came out to $50/sq-ft.
