How about a "Twisted Tale" novel with… Kaa? 🐍
Hi, I’ve never told anyone about this personal thought, but somehow, I wish Disney could offer a few more adaptations of the "Jungle Book", for example in "Descendants", or in the "Once Upon a Time" series, in which the animals from the Disney classic were humans, with different roles around Mowgli, like street gangs, adoptive parents, businessmen or even doctors.
But more specifically, I always hope to see or read more developments about Kaa, since he seemed to be easily forgotten or unable to be a good guy. Somehow, even if his song "Trust in Me" and his soothing voice creep me out, I also find him fascinating and adorable. If he weren’t motivated by hunger to pursue Mowgli, he would appear to have more potentials if he uses his hypnosis and coils for good causes, like appeasing and protecting a lonely man-cub in a dangerous jungle instead of trapping him. And the mistrust he would mostly have by everyone could be an interesting plot for a misjudged character wishing to be more trusted…
