For me, the most important qualification of a community leader is not only a college degree, but also honesty, compassion, responsibility, and a true heart for the people.
Education can improve leadership and decision-making, but a leader who understands the struggles of ordinary people and serves them with sincerity can bring real change to the community.
My choice is to keep the basic requirement open to all, while encouraging education and leadership training. This gives everyone a fair opportunity while still helping future leaders become more capable.
A community does not only need educated leaders; it needs leaders who listen, care, serve, and never forget the people who trusted them.
