#UnseenScar + mention g/confessions and g/studio 1) What…

#UnseenScar + mention

 and

1) What happened back then?
My childhood home was not peaceful.
My aunt (my father’s sister) did not like my mother.
My father loved his sister deeply and often listened only to her side.
We were very young children, yet we witnessed everything.
Almost every few days, our house felt like a courtroom.
In that courtroom, my mother was always treated as the guilty one.
She would stay quiet, but we could see the pain in her eyes.
We were too small to understand the full truth, but we felt the tension.
Instead of laughter and comfort, we heard arguments.
During the years when our minds were growing, we were exposed to conflict and emotional stress.
2) How does it show up today?
Even today, those scenes replay in my mind.
I feel anxious when I hear loud arguments in a home.
If I see a woman being blamed unfairly, it deeply triggers me.
I have become extremely sensitive to injustice.
I struggle to stay calm when someone is wrongly accused.
Sometimes I find it hard to trust family relationships completely.
I become defensive very quickly in conflicts.
I overthink situations where one person dominates another.
Part of me still carries the fear of instability.
The emotional atmosphere of my childhood still lives inside me
3) Why does it still sting?
It still hurts because I saw my mother suffering.
For a child, watching her mother in pain is heartbreaking.
I felt helpless and powerless at that time.
We could not protect her or change anything.
That feeling of helplessness stayed with me.
It hurts that my father always chose his sister’s voice over peace in our home.
Childhood should be about safety and warmth, not tension.
Instead of unity, we saw division.
Instead of comfort, we felt emotional insecurity.
That is why the wound still feels fresh sometimes.
4) One way you’ve grown past it.
I have learned not to let hatred control my heart.
I realized that carrying bitterness only damages me.
I learned patience by watching my mother’s silent strength.
I decided that in my own home, I will prioritize fairness and peace.
I try not to judge someone without understanding both sides.
I have placed my pain in Allah’s hands.
I remind myself that I cannot change the past, but I can shape my future.
I want to build a home filled with respect and emotional safety.
I am healing my inner child with awareness and reflection.
I am still sensitive, but now I am stronger than my past.

Some scars never heal, especially those from childhood.

I can be disrespectful when the circumstances demand it. If I were in your mother's shoes, I would make your father choose between me and your aunt. I can't stay with a partner who chooses to believe someone over me without knowing the truth. Instead of creating a harmonious family relationship that he built himself, he chose to ruin it. Why did he choose me at first? Just to make babies? And then what? Believing his sister more, even if I am not doing anything wrong? I don't find anything wrong with him loving his sister because she's his blood, but what about me as a wife and as a mother of his children? If he happened to choose his sister over me and you as our kids, then he can freely live his life on his sister's terms. Goodbye.

On the other side, I appreciate you for sharing such a deeply personal and moving reflection. That's 10 sentences answer per number. It takes immense courage to confront and articulate the pain of childhood experiences, especially when they involve family dynamics.
