Is it my eyes, or have the projectors been getting dimmer lately?
I swear I’m not tripping. For the past years I’ve been feeling more and more that cinema screens just feel too dim.
I’m not talking about the dim cinematography that people sometimes complain about. I’m talking about the literal projectors/screens being too damn dim. Is it just me? Eye my eyes getting old? Some theatres are fine, but the more I travel the more I see that most screens are just way too dark.
Recently went to a screening and honestly couldn’t tell half of what was happening.
It’s not like we’re in sanctioned Russia where replacement bulbs are hard to get by. What’s going on? A stylistic trend? Collectively saving on those electricity bills? Or I’m just tripping after all?
