YSK: When donating to a nonprofit org, there is basically no limit they can pay themselves as salary before distributing funds.
Why YSK: Always be wary of small non-profits that say things like 80 or 100% of profit will go to "so and so." What they're often leaving out is they can pay themselves a salary of nearly whatever they want and the rest, after expenses, is considered profit. It can ending up meaning the eventual recipients receive a shockingly small amount and whoever is in charge can enrich themselves easily. And when I say "nearly" I mean that it is very rare they are challenged on this and there is no set percentage by law that they can pay themselves. #education
