Dunno how to feel
I have this one friend and they are ALWAYS trying to one up me all the time and we been friends for many many years but like if they win something they always gotta boast about it and if they done something for their other half it’s always i done this and it’s so good and then they vent to me all the time then next minute they never said anything back but then vent again..what do you call this sort of social skill? Cause I really been ignoring them a lot and then they send half a dozen messages of why aren’t I’m messaging and have they done something wrong…

Have you tried telling them the friendship isn't a one-upmanship and see what they respond with. It's always possible they don't realize they're doing that. Or that it's bothering you.
