I wanted an easier way to build wall-mounted Home Assistant dashboards, so I built one

I originally started this project because I wanted an easier way to create always-on wall tablet dashboards. I liked Home Assistant’s flexibility, but I wanted a fully visual editor where I could drag, resize, and arrange cards directly on the screen instead of manually adjusting layouts.

The app connects directly to a Home Assistant server using a Long-Lived Access Token and displays live entity states in real time. Dashboard layouts are stored in Home Assistant so they can be synchronized across multiple tablets without requiring a separate backend.

Some of the features I’ve implemented include:

* Drag-and-drop dashboard editor
* Resizable and movable cards
* Live Home Assistant entity updates
* Weather, climate, lighting, media, camera, security, and energy cards
* Kiosk mode for wall-mounted tablets
* AI voice assistant integration (optional)
* Support for both iPadOS and Android tablets

The app was built with React, TypeScript, Capacitor, and integrates directly with the Home Assistant REST and WebSocket APIs.

I’d really appreciate feedback from other Home Assistant users. If you were designing your ideal wall dashboard editor, what features would you want to see?
