SAMPAGUITA - national flower in the Philippines and believed that the name comes from the Filipino phrase "SUMPA KITA" (I promise you), representing a vow of love or loyalty.
đ the poem
ďťż A Handful of Earth's Breath
ďťż A small, cupped galaxy holds these pearls of the morning,
ďťżThey are not diamonds,
But secrets,
ďťżNot gold,
ďťżBu whispers from a bush that saw the sunrise.
ďťżYou did not pick them for their colors,
But for their promise,
The promise to fill a room even when they have wilted.
This is the true fragrance; Not the petal,
But the memory of it.
Holding them is holding a piece of a story that has no end, only beginnings over and over.
