Am I getting in over my head?

I've done a good amount of canoeing and lots of car camping, but have never done an overnight camping trip where I carry in all my gear for multiple days. I quit my job recently and booked a 7 day camping trip that I'll be doing solo. I'll be renting a 40 lb canoe meant for one person. There is one major portage which is 2 km with lots of rest stops. I have most of the gear I need already. I'm renting a food barrel. I have an Osprey 40 L backpack, but think I should buy a dry bag - maybe a MEC Slogg as my main other bag.

I'm a bit worried I'm getting in over my head. Obviously it would make more sense to start with 1-2 nights. I know I can come back early if I'm hating it. I'm worried I'll be lonely and bored. I'm into photography and will bring my gear and battery banks, and will also bring my ebook reader.

I don't know what to pack food-wise. That is giving me the most anxiety.

I have a Garmin In Reach Mini 2.

Reassure me or talk sense into me, whichever seems most appropriate.
