Donald & Stephen Glover never got to make this under the old Marvel TV regime. Maybe they can now.

Donald and Stephen Glover had begun work in a writers room by the time of the series' announcement. Early animation had been completed for the series that August, with the Glovers wanting a distinct voice and tone from previous incarnations of the character including the Deadpool films.

They used Ryan’s voice when they could have had Donald record some quick lines. So while they were aiming for a unique “voice” for their show, that could just mean a different tone than the movies, and Ryan could still voice Wade.

Jeff Loeb has a history with racism and was the Marvel TV producer Donald is likely referring to, and was producing the show. But that prick’s not around anymore.
