1. What role does religion or faith play in your life right now?
Religion plays an important role in my life as a source of guidance, comfort, and identity. It shapes my values, decisions, and how I treat others. Even if I’m still growing in my faith, it gives me a sense of purpose and direction.
2. If the person you love deeply belongs to a different religion or has no religion, how do you think that would feel?
I think I would feel a mix of curiosity and concern. I’d be curious to understand their beliefs and perspective, but also a little challenged because religion is meaningful to me.
My worries might include differences in values, future decisions, or how we would handle important life moments like marriage or children. But if there is respect and understanding, I think it could still work.
3. If that person asked you to change or leave your religion for love, what would go through your mind?
I would feel pressured and confused. My faith is a personal part of who I am, so being asked to leave it would feel difficult and even hurtful.
It would be harder to consider if I felt forced or disrespected. It might only feel easier to think about if there was deep understanding, no pressure, and genuine reasons—but even then, it would be a very serious and emotional decision.
4. What boundaries do you have around your beliefs or values in a relationship?
I wouldn’t want to compromise on my core beliefs or values, especially things that shape my identity and future, like how I live or raise children.
However, I can be flexible about smaller things, like learning about each other’s traditions, respecting differences, or celebrating in ways that include both sides.
5. If you ever had to adjust your religious practice or tradition for love, what would that look like for you?
It might mean finding a balance—like respecting each other’s practices, sometimes attending each other’s religious spaces, or agreeing to disagree peacefully.
To feel safe and respected, I would need my partner to accept my beliefs without trying to change them, communicate openly, and support me in practicing my faith.
