Looking back it was the greatest.
I know it’s been said before but still I grew up on the comics and was 10 by the time I first saw the first iron man, but it changed my life and man what a start it was to the mcu, Downey was perfect, the acting was amazing, and while the villain wasn’t the best it still was far better than later movies. God even with its flaws I’d still give it a 10/10, is that the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia talking? Yes. Absolutely. But I don’t believe I’m wrong it was just so fucking good, and it started what I’d believe was one of the greatest movie series (till the point of after endgame of course) that I’ve ever seen, hell it beats Star Wars and I was huge into that most my life. I loved X-Men too but Sony dropped the ball at certain points with that early on so it fell off later too, the X-men comics are still my favorite over the avengers and even iron man comics but still. As for films go this was it. The start of peak.
