1. What role does religion or belief play in your life right now? My sense of humor is very important in my life. I am a Muslim and my faith tells me the difference between right and wrong. It is part of my identity and also teaches me.
2. How do you think it would feel if the person you love deeply belonged to a different religion or had no religion at all? If it was someone from a different religion, it would be a bit strange and challenging at first. I would be happy to understand that, but I would also have some concerns such as the future, family, and differences in beliefs.
3. What would go through your mind if that person asked you to change or leave your religion for the sake of love?
If someone asked me to steal their sense of humor, I would feel very bad. I would feel pressured and confused, but the truth is that I would never change my religion. A man who truly loves me will accept me for who I am.
4. What boundaries do you have around your beliefs or values in a relationship? My strongest boundary is my sense of humor, but I will never compromise. Raising children and religious values are also important to me in the future.
But I can be respectful, understanding, and flexible in the little things in everyday life.
5. If you ever had to adjust your religious practice or tradition for love, what would that look like for you? I can only adjust enough to respect the beliefs of the past. I will not change my worship or faith. I would only want my partner to understand me, respect me, and not force me.
