1. When I hear βabortion,β I think of a difficult choice β something emotional, private, and life-changing.
2. One benefit can be protecting the health of the pregnant person, especially when continuing the pregnancy could cause serious medical or mental harm. It helps the person carrying the pregnancy stay safe and make decisions for their own wellbeing.
3. One downside I worry about is emotional impact β some people may later feel sadness, guilt, or confusion, especially if they didnβt have enough support when making the decision.
4. It would feel right in a situation where a pregnancy is dangerous for the motherβs health, or in cases like rape, where the pregnancy comes from trauma and continuing it could seriously harm the personβs life and mental health. In those cases, it can feel like protecting an already suffering person.
5. It would feel wrong to me if it were used as a careless or repeated choice without considering responsibility or consequences, especially if there is no serious reason or pressure involved and the decision is made without care or reflection.
