Window can't be fully opened or closed- stuck in tilt mode

Hi all

I've got an annoying issue with my Reynaers window. I've reached out to a certified installer but I live in Belgium and god knows how long it will take, so I thought it might be handy to post in here in case anyone knows a quick fix.

In short, somehow the window handle is stuck in tilt mode and only moves about 45 degrees. The window still thinks it's in tilt mode, so it can be partially opened but also can't be closed. I've looked along the sides and there isn't an override button or latch. I can't open it further than shown on the pics and I think forcing it would damage the mechanism underneath. Any ideas?
