Lange 1 Daymatic Blue Dial
Absolutely love this piece. Lange is typically known for their manual movements, but I personally love the practicality and wearability of an automatic movement. I very quickly fell in love with the Lange 1 Daymatic, one of the few automatic references in the catalog.
The Blue Dial reference was only released for a short amount of time starting in 2017, which makes it quite collectible. The color and texture is amazing, making the dial appear almost black or silver depending on the ambient light source. The subdials are finished with snailing, with the concentric circles giving it a beautiful sunburst effect. The movement, like all Lange movements, is beautiful. The alligator strap is this deep dark blue that almost presents as black.
When it comes to dress watches, I was surprised to find myself being more excited about A. Lange & Söhne than any of the holy trinity. Does anyone else feel this way?
