Socks?
I'm on my way out the door to take the dog on the trail for a bit, but I grabbed one of my less favorite pairs of socks which got me thinking; "do they even make decent socks any more?"
I have some nicer Moreno wool socks, but mostly I wear crew length cotton cushion sole athletic socks, except that decent quality ones seem to be few and far between. I'm the sort that finds the good stuff, buys two dozen, and forgets about it until they're wore out. Like I have some left from 6 years ago that are great, but starting to wear out, and I can't find anything of comparable quality.
So what do you folks recommend in the "not unnecessarily expensive but totally worth the money," socks?
