Gargi Agrawalla built a smoke alarm for people who can't hear, and it won the British James Dyson Award.
Gargi Agrawalla takes her cochlear implants out at night, so in a hotel room she cannot hear the smoke alarm or somebody knocking at the door. She built a small device that picks up those sounds and warns her with a flashing light and a vibration, and it has won this year's British James Dyson Award.
