As I am getting older, the more I wish my grandmother was still around to help me make her recipes. I am sure there are little tricks she had that made her cooking and baking come out so well…but sadly, neither she nor my mother are with us any longer.
With that in mind, I launched a little project so that my kids will have all of my recipes with very easy step-by-step instructions that they can follow without too much difficulty. I’m adding all of my old standbys, as well as a few new ones that I am tinkering with.
Today’s test recipe? Blackberry muffins with hints of vanilla, lemon, and cinnamon. I promised myself I would wait until they were fully cooled before I dug in but…a baker has to know how her stuff tastes, right?
I’m pretty happy with the way they came out, so this one is going into my new family recipe binder. 😁
