. 1. What do you personally believe happens after we die? I believe that after death we will be held accountable for everything we did in this world. Good deeds will be rewarded and bad deeds will be punished. In my religion, there is no concept of reincarnation. I strongly believe that on the Day of Judgment we will meet our loved ones again, like our parents, brothers, sisters, and family members. 2. How did you arrive at this belief? I learned these beliefs from my elders and from reading religious books. I also tried to gain knowledge about my religion properly, which strengthened my faith over time. 3. How does your belief about the afterlife make you feel? I believe the afterlife is the day of justice and accountability. Anyone who hurts others or does wrong will face punishment, while people who do good will receive rewards for their kindness. This belief gives me peace because even if justice is not seen in this world, I believe wrongdoers will still be held accountable in the hereafter. 4. How does your belief about the afterlife affect the way you live your life now? My belief in the afterlife has a positive effect on my life. I try to do good deeds because Allah may forgive His own rights, but the rights of people over each other cannot be forgiven unless the person forgives you. I believe life should be lived fully, but together with kindness and good actions. My heart feels satisfied when I know I have not 5. If you had to comfort a friend who’s scared of death or the afterlife, what would you say? In my religion, we are taught to remember death at all times because it reminds us not to hurt others or do wrong. I would tell my friend not to fear death too much because death is something every soul will face one day. Instead of fear, we should focus on living a good and honest life with kindness and faith.
