1. Are you writing from the perspective of a child who had sibling rivalry, or from the perspective of a parent?*
I am writing from the perspective of an older sibling. I have a younger brother in my home. As a child, we used to fight over everything—the TV remote, food, parental attention. But looking back now, it seems like it wasn’t all that serious.

*2. What is your earliest memory of family rivalry or strong comparisons?*
The earliest memory is of toys. Whenever a new toy came along, we both said, “This is mine.” Once, we gave away a toy because we didn’t want to play with it. In our day-to-day lives, rivalry sometimes backfires.

*3. Is there still competition or comparison—and how does it feel?*
The rivalry is no longer there. We now live in separate cities. But sometimes parents still say "Look, your brother is a good friend". Earlier I was angry, now I laugh. Now comparisons don't matter.

*4. What positive things did this rivalry teach you about yourself?*
It taught me that sharing is essential. And it also taught me that every person is different, you have to push yourself forward. The rivalry has also made me a little patient and a little competitive. Both are useful in life.

*5. What do you wish could be different from how this rivalry manifests itself?*
I wish my parents had not compared us. "You are like brothers, ladies" I thought you were the biggest. But they say "You are both different, move forward with your own star", we quickly become friends after marriage.

*6. If you could talk to your younger self in a moment of intense hostility, what would you say?*
I would tell my younger self: "Don't try to defeat your brother. Support him. Tomorrow, there will be no one but you two with you. What you are fighting about today, you will remember 10 years later and laugh."
