Super proud mama moment
My 4yo loves to watch me bake, but his sensory hypersensitivity makes it a challenge for him to feel comfortable helping with the different textures he’d have to touch. So, it was a wonderful surprise when he asked me if he could decorate a “just because” cake. Of course, I jumped into action to bake a little 6”, 2-layer vanilla cake, covered it in chocolate frosting, and gave him a piping bag and sprinkles to do whatever he wanted. Took a bit of encouragement and a plethora of damp paper towels on deck to wipe messy hands, but he made it happen!
Now excuse me while I happy sob into a piece of preschooler-germ-infested cake as he did also sneeze directly onto it 🥲
