"Both sides are the same" is the biggest lie Star Wars fans have told themselves
It makes me laugh how so many people, trying way too hard to sound “neutral,” say that the dark side and the light side of the Force are neither good nor evil, and that it all depends on how the user chooses to use them.
Excuse me?
The light side of the Force, if taken to an extreme, turns you into an arrogant egomaniac who thinks they’re better than everyone else. You become insufferable, and that’s about it.
Meanwhile, the average, AVERAGE dark side user is a war criminal with hundreds of corpses behind them, whose face and eyes have literally been deformed by the dark side, and who performs a ritual where they channel all their hatred in order to corrupt their kyber crystal.
Sorry, but I’m noticing a certain pattern here, aren’t you?.
And don’t bring up Windu. He did not use the dark side in any sense whatsoever. He simply used Vaapad, which is a fighting style designed to end the opponent quickly.
In fact, Windu is actually a great example of balance within the light side.
Because the light side is the only good side of the Force. The light side is literally balance itself.
The dark side is corruption and decay.
It’s basically a drug, a drug that gives you a boost in strength and energy, a shortcut, a cheat code, in exchange for your mind and your life.
The Sith aren’t more powerful than the Jedi, but at the same time, they are.
Like I said before, the dark side is a drug that gives you raw power. So then why do the Sith always lose?
Because they’re power junkies. They gain power so fast that they lose their minds, become arrogant, and then eventually some Jedi cuts them in half.
