A few other folks have already posted pictures of this unit watch they recently received but I haven’t seen anyone post any pics of the packaging. I just received mine so I thought you all might find pics of the presentation case interesting. The case exterior feels like oilcloth with a soft micro fiber-like lining. They include FKM rubber straps, a spring bar tool and a leather patch embossed with the unit insignia (in my case, the Special Forces unit crest).
The Omega Unit Watch Program is a service provided by Omega that allows special Military or Police units and certain government agencies to order a customized version of the Seamaster 300M.
The customization is limited to the casebook, which can be engraved with a logo. Depending on how the order is set up, you can also add some text which can be individualized per person. The ceramic bezel and dial colorway is unique to the unit watch and can't be found on any commercially available version of the Seamaster. The watch also does not have any polished surfaces - just brushed finish everywhere as far as I can tell.
The watches are done as a group order so it's essentially one batch at a time. So even if you are in a unit and eligible to get the watch, tough luck if you miss an order. You will have to wait until someone sets up another group order. I can't speak for how other unit watch orders are done but for this one, your credentials were verified before you were allowed to be part of the group order.
I love my NTTD. But with the gorgeous anthracite dial and incredible legibility, this is definitely going to be getting more wrist time than the NTTD. #luxury source
