The Los Angeles Angels have been eliminated from playoff contention
With their loss against the Twins tonight the Angels are now 60-86. If the Angels somehow win out they'd finish with a 76-86 record. The Astros have 77 wins so this loss eliminates the Angels from the AL West title. The three AL teams in wildcard position (Orioles, Royals, Twins) have 83, 80 and 78 wins respectively. Since the Angels were playing the Twins they also got simultaneously eliminated from the final AL Wildcard slot.
