Just say you like villains! No need to make them the victims!

It should be alright for people to admit that they simply like, instead of trying to be assert that they were never villains to begin with. Sharpay, Tai Lung, (🫁) Glinda, Scar, etc..

Magnifico!! he built a kingdom assuring that all the power in that kingdom was with him and nobody else. He had dubious origins (who on earth names their child Magnifico) that apparently gave him the right and a good enough reason to make sure nobody else had power (magic) but him.

Then employed a little girl to manipulate people into giving up their souls to him for refuge in his kingdom, then convinced them that they couldn’t fulfil their deepest desire themselves and therefore should rely on him, but only granted a few wishes in all those years to the point where some people have likely died without seeing their dreams come true. He didn’t want to return their wishes to them so that they can go and find another way to fulfil it themselves and therefore leave the kingdom and him however the only way to be allowed **refuge** in that kingdom as they were **refugees**, like himself, was to give up their souls.

He constructed the entire world to give him power over the weak and vulnerable but never give them power themselves. He took all the magical books in that land even the evil one and turned to it when he felt his power was threatened. But because people hated Disney and Asha was ⚫ and “adorkable” people gladly he took his side over hers. Asha had literally just turned 18 when the film began. She gained and lost everything on her birthday. Because she wanted to free the people.

Also imagine the **guilt** that Asha felt! Imagine the guilt she felt learning that she is the one who lied to all those people into the kingdom and convinced them to give up their souls. He used charm. And prey on their desperation. A desperation he himself must’ve experienced if his origin is true. He knew their vulnerability WELL! And how young did he employ Asha? 5? He KNEW what he was doing! People couldn't say no to a child and she may've felt that she **had** to do it to support her family! He KNEW what he was doing! And he found a wife to be his “most faithful servant!” who says that about their wife?!! May that love never find me!

That man even had devoted believers such as Asha’s grandfather! He never told the people that the wishes were their souls and that they would become quite soulless and unmotivated after they give up their heart’s greatest desires. He made the wish granting seem like the lottery to keep people engaged in it, believing that they might one day win when he had decided there were those he would never grant. But clearly he is a sort of villain that would win in today’s world as people were so easy to dismiss what he did because they couldn’t stand Asha and Disney.

I can’t help but compare Magnifico to youknowwho. People knew he didn’t care for them at all but hated a woman that was partially ⚫ so much that they would take **his** side. Even though he openly declared that he didn’t care about them.
