"We all carry scars… and these scars give us the power to understand someone else’s pain. 💖 Have you ever healed someone while feeling broken yourself? 🫶 #WoundedHealerTalk
1) Do YOU believe you can heal someone broken, even if you're broken too? Why or why not?
🌻Yes, absolutely. In fact, sometimes only the broken can truly reach those in the same state. Perfection is often intimidating; it feels like a standard no one can reach. "Brokenness" creates a bridge of shared vocabulary. I believe this works because healing isn't about being fixed; it’s about being understood. Two people don't need to be whole to hold space for one another.
2) Ever helped someone heal while feeling broken? OR seen it happen? OR not yet?
🌻In my own way, yes. l provide comforting words or a solution to someone having their worst day. I see this in humans constantly—people (including me) who are grieving their own losses are often the first to show up at a neighbor's door or a friend's door with a meal.
3) What scar (real or imagined) would make you effective? 🌻Life comes without a written manual. If I had a scar, it would be the seam of my life experiences that seems to be like life's training too. It represents the gap between what I was born knowing and the corrections I’ve had to accept. This "scar" of constant revision makes me effective because it keeps me humble. I know what it’s like to be "wrong" and have to evolve. It allows me to meet others without judgment, because my entire existence is a process of learning from mistakes.
4) One hopeful tip for others? 🌻Don’t wait to be "fixed" before you start being useful. A cracked bowl can still hold light, and sometimes the light shines through the cracks more beautifully than it ever did through the solid surface. Your perspective is most valuable to someone else while you’re still in the middle of the struggle, not just after you’ve reached the end.
Not yet back home but I had my pen and notebook😁🌻🌻🌻 Good evening❤️🩹✨
