Napoleon Dynamite censored on streaming platforms. For or against?
I watched it the other day and I realized they edited "You guys are retarded." to "You guys are idiots."
This was one of my favorite movies back then and I had pretty much every line memorized. I understand that the word is considered offensive now (and then) but I thought this just added to the weird quirkiness of Napoleon and was part of why he became so iconic.
What do you think? Should the word "retarded" be replaced by "idiot" in movies? Are there any other examples?
