Camping Advice Bear Country
My Finance and I are going camping at Chinook Lake Campground in Alberta and we are both a bit nervous of bears during berry season. We are planning on sleeping in a tent and keeping the food in the vehicle, but we also have an SUV that we could sleep in the back of, my question is what would be more safe? Sleeping in the car with the food also in there with us? Or to sleep separate from the food in the tent? The campground doesn’t have individual bear bins at each campsite. And if we do sleep in the car, google seems to think slightly cracking the windows for ventilation is still safe from bears getting in? Looking for any advice or reassurance.
