"A Quiet Place" question about creatures
If the creatures are completely blind and only react to sounds, how would they differentiate sounds that humans make from just normal everyday sounds happening in nature all the time? What if they hear a branch break and smack on the ground? Would they run over and check it out? There are tons of sounds happening in the world at all times. Like a dog barking, or a rock tumbling down a hill. Wouldn't they get exhausted from spazzing out at sounds all the time. Like they do with the toy that went off. How would they know it was humans who made that noise and not just sounds in nature?
