Spider-Man: Brand New Day makes a lot more sense after Daredevil: Born Again S2E6
After watching episode 6 of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer actually starts to connect much better. Moments like Sheila Rivera handing Spider-Man the key to the city and him being treated as a vigilante under Fisk’s AVTF Act make it feel like the movie could be set directly after the events of Born Again Season 2.
Based on this, I can see two possible directions for how the show might end. The first is that Fisk, after losing the Governor’s support, completely snaps and goes full beast mode. He could use the Anti-Vigilante Task Force to take down everyone opposing him, leading to a major confrontation where Daredevil either captures or kills Fisk, and possibly even reveals his identity to expose Fisk publicly.
The second possibility is a full-scale street-level war in New York. This could involve Daredevil, Poindexter, and potentially Jessica Jones and even Luke Cage going up against Fisk, his task force, and Buck. It would be a chaotic battle with heavy losses on both sides, eventually ending in some kind of uneasy compromise, with Fisk losing power and Poindexter either being killed or handed over to the authorities.
The only thing I really hope is that BB and Daniel don’t get killed during these events, because that would honestly be very disappointing.
