Question about welding on food-grade stainless steel components
Hi everyone - this is the food grade part made of stainless steel. The image on the left looks somehow clean and the image on the right seems spotty.
Was there any finish or galvanisation applied on the left sample? Would the one on the right be acceptable for food processing component?
I am aware that food-grade stainless steel components must be below certain surface roughness. The dots on the weld (on the right) may show heat tint (chromium depletion)
Would you give it a pass as acceptable job or reject it?
