Fence Posts and Deep Frost Line
Hi everyone! I've been estimating material to put up a 6 foot vinyl fence in my backyard, but I've run into a problem. All of the options I've found have posts that are 8 feet tall, with an 8 foot aluminum insert.
The issue is that I live in Nova Scotia, and so the frost line is 4 feet deep! I'm trying to figure out what other folks do in this case. I need to anchor them below the frost line and still be able to mount the 6 foot panels above the ground. (Obviously the 8 foot posts would only leave 4 get above the ground)
Do you guys have any tips for how/where to find 10 foot posts that I could use with vinyl panels, or ways to extend the pole so I can have the proper 4 foot embed in concrete?
I've been driving myself crazy trying to find a solution but for the life of me, I can't seem to!
