Abraham Lincoln in the Cry of Balintawak!
This is my first NFT in Splot.io for this week's challenge with the theme #ReimaginedHistories .
And this is what my imagination brought me. I imagine, the great Abraham Lincoln leading the Kataastaasang Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan ('Supreme and Venerable Association of the Children of the Nation, or known as the Katipunan (association). It's a secret organization that led the revolution against the Spaniards in the 1890s.
This image was inspired by the mural "Cry of Balintawak" painted by the Philippine National Artist Carlo V. Francisco. In the original painting, Andres Bonifacio was the central character. He was leading the Katipuneros (members of the Katipunan) in a revolt against the occupying Spaniards.
I used Medibang Paint mobile to paint this on my Huawei Tablet.
