Campground reservations block actual outdoor use
Just finished a trip across NA and back. We camped in both US and Canadian parks. Most of the time we were snagging last minute cancelations to get "the only available" site. But when we got to the actual campground, it would be less than 80% full. We didn't camp in several places because there were no sites available. I think most of these are people who book a bunch of sites then never bother to cancel because they don't care about the relatively low fee. How can this be addressed without raising the cost for people that actual do show up? If i were king, some sort of no show fine that's 5x the site cost. Not sure how legal that would be.
