Battle: Los Angeles was actually the first alien invasion movie I ever watched, and it really stuck with me. Something about the chaos, the intensity, and seeing regular soldiers trying to make sense of a completely unknown threat just hit different. Even now, I remember how it felt watching it for the first time like Iβd just been dropped into a real battle for the planet.
