Somehow I fell in love with Mark XX
I had 0 interest in pilot watch before. Especially flieger style watch. I know the history and everything, but I couldn't understand why people pay $6000+ for simple and closed back watch which looks 90% same as ali watches. And you can choose much cheaper option like Laco or Stowa which have good history.
Then I had a chance to handle Mark XX and I was shocked. The black dial wasn't special. But it's contrast with the white numbers, texts, and triangle was just perfect. And somehow it felt so bling bling (maybe because of hands?). Also the triangle and the numbers were so 3D. I don't know how to describe but it felt so thick and beautiful. And the watch was so filled but not crowdy. Just perfect and somehow luxurious.
In my brain, I still can't justify the price but I can't get over the feeling that I want it. I am fighting myself "Come on, just get Laco or something. $6000+ for that simple watch? With that money, maybe get Portugueser or Seamaster", but I am browsing chrono24.
Will it be a good choice? Any other better watch I can get with that money? It is not crazy amount but it is not cheap. I don't want to buy it and regret. Thank you.
