Golf channe and PGA Tour area joke. They got manhandled in every possible hole by Greg Norman and LIV at every turn. The canned responses from LIV golfers are nauseating and just downright insulting sometimes. Like when Bryson said he’s “always wanted to win this” when his team won the cup. Rahm saying this is about his family and growing the game is just bullshit. He was already a driving force for Spain/Europe and was one of the most likeable guys on tour.
I know Majors are still going to be great, but this just feels like a huge turning point in pro golf as a product. No other sport is as intertwined between people who play it casually and the top players in the world.
This is the first time in my life that I have felt like I don’t love golf anymore. I used to love everything about it. Golf media is trash, there are 500 too many golf podcasts that all talk about the same shit, and there are hundreds of loser “instructors” on YouTube sharing the same tips over and over again. All of it is for clicks, like, and controversies. I can’t fucking stand it.
