Camping with a Puppy
Hello! My partner and I are avid car campers from spring until fall up in the PNW. We paddle board and kayak, hike a little bit, but mainly chill around the fire and enjoy the views. We got a puppy from a shelter, we’re thinking a shepard or malinois mix, 3 months old now (send help😅).
What are your tips and tricks for acclimating a young dog into outdoor activities? Any must have accessories? Any horror stories to learn from?
The pup is pretty high energy, very curious, but is just now hitting a fear period. We’re assuming he’ll be a bit too young to do any actual trips by the time this season ends. We’re thinking about doing some backyard camping just to test the waters once it gets warm enough! He’s both a fast learner and a little stinker so about what you’d expect for a puppy lol
