#SiblingRivalry g/confessions g/studio 1: Are you writing…

#SiblingRivalry

1: Are you writing from the perspective of a child who had (or has) sibling rivalry, or from the perspective of a parent watching your kids experience it?

I'm writing as a child who have had siblings rivalry among them, I'm the eldest among our siblings so the vibe is like a protective and caring for them but mostly they never understand my struggles for them.

2. What’s your earliest memory (or your child’s most common pattern) involving rivalry or strong comparison in the family?

Our most common pattern is when we're kids and growing fast so mostly my expensive clothes were given to my younger sister and she always feel jealousy and she fight that why Mom gives her my used thing and this happened until our growth stopped like our height growth because they think parents love me more that's why they bought me new things and gave them old thing's.

3. Is there still rivalry or comparison happening now—and how does it feel?

Now the things got fixed among us as compared to the past because now we sister's are married and live in separate home and now we remember how much we fight and feel jealousy but now we think the point of view of our parents and now we don't fight on those things.

4. What positive things did (or might) this rivalry teach you or your children about themselves?
One thing I learned from this fight that when I've kids then I'll not do the same that I'll bring same and new things for both and I'll not do that giving old books and clothes to the younger one as really he or she deserve the new too as kids heart are little that they can't understand these things.

5. What’s one thing you wish could be different about how this rivalry shows up?

One thing I always feel that it wasn't my fault that she thinks about me like that and I wish that she might understand me and she thinks that our parents both love each other as they just can't afford so they did this but our fight and her jealousy make our parents sad too.

6. If you could talk to your younger self or your younger children during a tough rivalry moment, what would you say to them?
I say to my younger self that you should show your calm attitude as you should understand the situation and you didn't fight for only the thing but I'm glad for you that after all fight you did best and have a good bond with your sister.
