I'm surprised Feige never pulled Edgar Wright back into the franchise
When Wright dropped off of Ant-Man it was at a time when the MCU was a lot more locked down in terms of keeping a consistent tone across all their films as well as being more the studio being more involved in the writing to keep a shared universe plot in tact.
That's obviously changed (for better or for worse). Marvel has since worked with directors that have more of a distinct style like Raimi, Gunn, Zhao, Coogler, and Waititi. Conversely, Wright recently did a studio franchise play with Running Man, and his career hasn't exactly taken off since Ant-Man.
I'm surprised Wright never did anything in the MCU, and there is no indication that he would. I think if they did an Ant-Man 4, Wright would be the obvious choice to make a solo Ant-Man film finally work.
