My one gripe with Spider Noir
I enjoyed the show but as a lover of Noir they made one mistake: the ending is too happily ever after for the good guys
The femme fatale lives, her love is healed and survives with her, the big bad dies, the reporter and assistant are promoted
Noir simply never works out that way, it’s part of the genre
In a proper Noir something like this would happen:
Big Boss kills the Femme Fatale, Flint goes crazy and kills him, Flint ends up in jail and Spider Noir has to make a deal with the corrupt Mayor to avoid jail himself. Basically everyone loses
