How can I get into solo camping with hunting?
I’m 22m, and have always been interested in camping and hunting. As a kid, I used to set up my tent in the backyard and use some cheap camping gear to start my own fire, cook my food, etc.
I’m really interested in dipping my toe in, but honestly not sure what’s a good place to start. Ideally, I’d love to go solo and bow hunt for my food (I would bring a food stash as well, but try to rely on my hunting). Of course this means I would train up my bow skills.
I’m in Illinois if that helps. Does anyone have any advice?
