So it appears that I'm travelling to Lithuania, Vilnius in three weeks. Anyone from #lithuania here?
I like travelling semi blind but was wondering if there's any must-sees I should experience during my 5-day stay. Any special food I should try ? (we will likely visit every local pub considering i'm travelling with my pal from Philladelphia who's a fairly heavy drinker) but experiencing some local culture is a must have so I wanna make some easy-going plans before hand.
From what I've seen Vilnius is beautiful all-around and even though there's a war closeby it seems quite peaceful, i hope. Any tipps and tricks are appreciated! Like: how NOT to annoy the locals!
Also a fair warning to everyone in Lithuana : Nearly every place I've visited has had some sort of catastrophic-event right after I left. Paris had bloody riots, so has London. Japan had a Tsunami. Iceland had a volcanic eruption. I hope it's just a nothing-burger but I'm sorry in advance!
Can't let that stop me! Gotta go before it's gone! My friend from philly has a dream to visit every country in the world I guess. He literally throws a dart at a map sometimes and since no one else takes the risks to go to random places he invites me mosta the time. I might've never made it to all these cool countries without that dude so I owe him alot.
