That moment when you whisper " I hope this is the LAST time " through gritted teeth and feel like you're going to throw up. Those never-ending cycles of anger, betrayal, or self-sabotage that tear at your soul. Psychologists say that these patterns don't just annoy you; they also take away your peace, keep you stuck in a toxic situation, and steal years from your life if you don't pay attention to them. But saying them? That's what makes the chains break and turns quiet pain into loud cries for freedom and real change.

The Last Time Loop
What’s that one recurring situation, person, or habit you're desperately hoping is the last time you'll have to face?
1. Identify the Loop: Name the specific situation, person, or habit.
2. Frequency and Impact: Describe how often this occurs and why it significantly bothers or harms you.
3. The "If Last Time" Scenario: Detail what you would do, what would change, or how you would feel if this truly were the last time.
Be candid and detailed. Your honest sharing creates a powerful, relatable sense of collective catharsis and inspires courageous steps toward breaking free.

MANDATORY: It's not part of this activity to mention anyone or use your default mention for fellow Tanglers—whoever you mention won't be able to read your comment within 72 hours anyway, so STOP that. Anyone who does will incur a 100k DEDUCTION. TRY ME.
Also, anyone who has a deleted comment (even if you comment again) will not be rewarded.

As we wrap up this meaningful #LastTimeHopes activity, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your openness and vulnerability in sharing your experiences.

Recognizing those recurring loops in our lives takes immense courage, and your willingness to voice them is a powerful step toward breaking free from their grip.

Rewards have been sent to eligible entries. Out of 10 submissions, 2 were disqualified for submitting a post link when this was just a comment activity, and another one was disqualified for a deleted comment. While 5 participants perfectly followed the rules, 3 received deductions for: mentioning someone (100k mlx) and failing to include the required statement (30k) : " I’m done replaying the same hurt ."

In appreciation of the non-AI attachments, I am rewarding the 600k mlx from the 2 disqualified participants (300k each) to be split equally between (for using a personal attachment) and (for the hand-drawn attachment).

Additionally, the 160k mlx derived from rule-breakers will be split equally among the 5 participants who followed the rules perfectly; they will each receive 32k mlx: , and .

I’m done replaying the same hurt.

The one habit I truly hope I’m facing for the last time is delaying everything important until the very last moment. I keep telling myself “I’ll do it later,” but later always turns into stress, regret, and disappointment in myself. It happens almost every day, especially with responsibilities and goals that actually matter to me. Instead of feeling relaxed, I end up trapped in anxiety because I know I could have done better if I had started earlier.

This loop hurts because it slowly destroys my confidence. Every time I repeat it, I feel like I’m wasting my own potential. I get tired of promising myself that tomorrow will be different while repeating the same mistake again and again.

If this truly were the last time, I think my life would finally feel lighter. I would stop living under pressure and stop feeling guilty at night. I would become more disciplined, more peaceful, and proud of myself for finally breaking a cycle that has controlled me for too long.

For my attachment, I would choose an image of someone stuck inside a maze while looking toward an open door with light outside. I chose this because the maze represents the endless cycle I keep repeating, while the light symbolizes freedom and growth. I used Canva to create/edit the image because it helped me visualize both the trapped feeling and the hope of finally escaping it.

Sometimes I feel stuck in the same loop of overthinking and trusting people too quickly. It happens again and again, and every time it leaves me disappointed and emotionally tired. I keep hoping things will change, but the same pain returns.

If this were truly the last time, I would finally choose peace over stress. I would stop blaming myself for everything and focus more on my happiness, growth, and self-respect. I think I would feel lighter, freer, and more confident about my future.

For my attachment, I chose a drawing of a person trapped inside a circle with broken chains outside it. It represents the feeling of being stuck and the hope of finally breaking free. I used ibisPaint X to create it.

1. Identify the Loop: Name the specific situation, person, or habit.

This happened a few years ago when my husband was assigned to Peacekeeping Unit. We were living in a remote province where he was stationed, far away from all our relatives.

The loop is my Scary What-Ifs spiral. It is honestly mind blowing. Whenever my husband is away for work, my mind starts making up scary stories. I don't just miss him; I start to worry that something bad will happen while I'm all alone. I think, "What if one of my three kids gets really sick in the middle of the night?" or "What if someone tries to break into our house?" I am so tired of feeling this way. I want this to be the last time these scary thoughts make me feel sick to my stomach.

2. Frequency and Impact: Describe how often this occurs and why it significantly bothers or harms you.

This happens almost every night when he is deployed. (1 to 2 weeks at most) Because I am the only adult at home, I feel like I have to be a "security guard" instead of a mom. I stay awake listening to every little noise in the house.
It harms me because I never truly rest. I’m always on edge. It’s hard for me to enjoy my morning coffee, my everyday routine because I’m so tired from worrying all night. It takes away my "peaceful reset" and leaves me feeling exhausted and stressed.

3. The "If Last Time" Scenario: Detail what you would do, what would change, or how you would feel if this truly were the last time.

If this were the last time I felt this way, I would finally feel safe and calm. (which I am enjoying now since he is reassigned to another unit) Since I’m in my "reciprocation era," I want to give myself the gift of peace.
I would feel strong: I would realize that I am a capable woman who can handle problems if they actually happen, instead of worrying about them before they do.
I would sleep better: I would lock the doors once, trust that my kids are safe, and actually get some rest.
I would be happy: I would spend my energy on bonding and playing with my kids instead of checking the locks and feeling scared. I would turn my home back into a happy place, not a place where I’m always waiting for something bad to happen.

I chose the first photo to show how my Scary What-Ifs and the heavy weight of worry make it so hard for me to rest. The second photo represents my time where I finally choose peace and enjoy a happy home with my three kids. I opted to use my personal photos that I edited in TikTok to show the difference between feeling like an exhausted security guard and being the strong capable woman I know I am.

“I’m done replaying the same hurt.”

The loop I desperately wish would end is the pain caused by some very close relationships in my life. There are moments when certain words, attitudes, or behaviors become so unbearable that they quietly break my heart. Sometimes the things said to me are so hurtful that I stay silent just to avoid creating more conflict. I keep telling myself, “Maybe this is the last time. Maybe they will understand me now. Maybe things will change.” But unfortunately, the same cycle keeps repeating again and again.

This situation does not happen once in a while — it happens repeatedly, and every time it leaves emotional scars behind. What hurts the most is that the pain comes from people who are close to me, people from whom I expect care, respect, and understanding. Instead of peace, I often feel mentally exhausted and emotionally drained. Even when I try to ignore things and stay patient, the memories of those hurtful moments stay in my mind for a long time. Slowly, it affects my inner peace and makes me question why kindness is sometimes returned with pain.

If this truly were the last time, I think I would finally feel emotionally free. I would stop carrying the burden of constantly forgiving the same hurt without change. I would focus more on protecting my peace, valuing my self-respect, and surrounding myself with positivity instead of emotional pain. I know I cannot control people’s behavior, but I can control how much hurt I allow to stay inside my heart. If this cycle finally ended, I would feel lighter, calmer, and stronger from within. I would finally breathe without waiting for the next painful moment to happen again.

Attachment Explanation:
I chose an image that shows a person trapped inside a circle or maze because it perfectly represents how repeating emotional pain feels — like being stuck in the same place no matter how much you try to move forward. The second image symbolizing freedom represents the peace and emotional relief I hope to feel one day when this painful cycle finally ends. I used Al to create/edit the attachment because it helped me visually express emotions that are difficult to explain only with words.

1. Identify the Loop: I start to argument even in front of elders,i don't know why I don't have control on me but this suffer when I start argument instead of staying silent.

2. Frequency and Impact:
This occur repeatedly like everyday, i can't stay silent if someone say to me something, and after that i start to think I overreacted on the situation, i become aggressive and i over behaved and this overreacted behavior hurt me later.

3. The "If Last Time" Scenario:
Sometimes situation in life get worst that now our emotion change and our feelings change like now we can't stay like we're before, but I think if i can control on myself and the only thing which I could is to do difference between those who are sincere with me and who are not like where I've to speak and where I've to stay silent will change my situation and when i know the difference that was the finally last time and i feel like I've win a war with me.

“I’m done replaying the same hurt. ”

I choose to draw this with my pencil because I think I'm terribly stuck inside a circle but one day the circle break and i feel like I'm win and finally get a freedom

“The Last Time Loop”

Identify the Loop:
Overthinking and staying silent when something hurts me instead of speaking up immediately.
Frequency and Impact:
It happens almost every week. I tell myself I’ll ignore it, keep the peace, or “deal with it later,” but it always builds up inside me. The more I stay quiet, the heavier everything feels. It drains my energy, ruins my mood, and makes me feel trapped in my own thoughts. Sometimes I replay conversations for hours and blame myself for things I didn’t even cause.
The “If Last Time” Scenario:
If this were truly the last time, I think I’d finally feel free. I’d stop carrying emotional weight that was never mine to begin with. I would speak honestly, set boundaries without guilt, and stop letting fear control my reactions. Instead of feeling sick to my stomach every time the cycle repeats, I’d finally feel peace, confidence, and relief knowing I chose myself over the pain that kept repeating.
I chose this attachment because it visually represents the emotional cycle of being stuck in a repetitive “loop” and contrasts it with the feeling of freedom and growth. The left side symbolizes negative patterns like overthinking, guilt, and self-doubt, while the right side shows clarity, peace, and moving forward. The contrast helps communicate the idea more powerfully than words alone.

I used OpenAI’s image generation tool (DALL·E) to create the illustration because it allowed me to combine symbolic elements and emotions into one clear visual metaphor.

 and

+ “I’m done replaying the same hurt. ”
Answer: #LastTimeHopes
1. Identify the Loop:
Every time I trust someone, I end up getting betrayed or disappointed. I trust easily because people seem honest and kind to me at first, but later they prove me wrong. It has become a repeating cycle in my life that I struggle to break.
2. Frequency and Impact:
This happens quite often in my life. Each time, I tell myself, “This is the last time I will trust anyone so easily,” but eventually I start trusting again. It affects me deeply because it breaks my inner peace, makes me emotionally hurt, and slowly reduces my ability to trust people freely.
3. The "If Last Time" Scenario:
If this truly were the last time I experienced this kind of betrayal, I would become more careful and observant. I would give people time before trusting them completely and protect my emotions better. It would bring me peace because I would no longer repeat the same painful experience again and again.
Attachment Caption:
This image represents the emotional cycle of trust and betrayal. On one side, it shows pain, emotional exhaustion, and being stuck in a repeated loop of trust and hurt. On the other side, it shows freedom, healing, and choosing self-respect and peace over blind trust. It reflects my decision to finally break this cycle and protect my heart.
Why I chose this attachment:
I chose this visual because it clearly shows the difference between being trapped in repeated emotional pain and finally stepping into a peaceful, free version of myself. It represents my inner struggle with trust and my hope to break this pattern permanently.
Tool Used:
This attachment was created using ChatGPT
AI image generation (DALL·E / Image Generation tool).

Sometimes I stay quiet, but inside I feel very hurt. Every time I think this will be the last time, but again the same thing happens.
1. Identify the Loop:
The loop is my sister-in-law who does hooting and taunts me daily. I always decide that I will not answer her and will stay quiet.
2. Frequency and Impact:
This happens almost every day. It disturbs my peace and hurts me a lot. My mother used to say that one silent person can defeat a hundred fighting people, so I try to stay quiet. But sometimes my patience ends and I cannot control myself, so I answer back. After that, I feel regret.
3. The "If Last Time" Scenario:
If this is truly the last time, I will stay quiet no matter what. I will control my anger and protect my peace. I want to feel calm and not get hurt again. I want this cycle to end now.
Attachment Explanation:
I created this image using GPT AI. The dark side shows the loop of taunts, anger and pain I face again and again. The bright side shows the peace and freedom I want by ending this cycle. I chose this because it shows my struggle and my hope to finally live in peace.
